Terms and Conditions (Jordan Grigor, updated 14th November 2023) These terms and conditions are complimentary to the operating protocols for Superprof, the professional online tutoring website (Superprof.co.uk). Students who undertake lessons are agreeing to the following terms and conditions: (1) Lessons will be provided using video calls through Microsoft Teams allowing the student and tutor to use microphone, screen-share, chat and webcam. For occasions when this is not possible due to technical constraints, the tutor and student will agree alternative arrangements. (2) Email (concealed information) mobile phone texts or Teams chat will be used for communication between tutor and students with lesson appointments set up on Google Calendar. (3) Lesson appointments need to be requested in writing (email or text) at least 24 hours before they are due to take place. (4) Lessons cost £30 per hour or £250 for a ten-hour block. Prices may be liable to change, but advanced notice will be provided by the tutor if this arises. Each lesson can last 1 to 2 hours according to the student’s requirements. (5) The first lesson will be free and used as an opportunity for the student and tutor to get to know each other prior to commencement of formal tutoring and also agree how they will work together. Free lessons are not for students to get help with last-minute university / school or work assignments. (6) Following the first free lesson, payment for further lessons must be made 24 hours prior to them commencing. (7) Payments will be paid directly into the tutor’s Paypal account or bank account – details provided on request. (8) Where multiple lessons are booked, a minimum of one lesson per week must be taken unless for circumstances which are beyond the student’s control (this is to ensure that the student is making progress with their learning). (9) Refunds will not be available if lessons are cancelled within 24 hours of the date and time of the scheduled appointment. (10) Students will receive one additional free lesson if their recommendations for the tutor’s tutoring result in two or more lessons being purchased by another student. (11) Student privacy and personal data will be protected at all times and all consultation will be compliant with the General Data Protection Legislation. Thank you for your understanding! :)
