About Josh
I am a professional musician with experience of performing and recording internationally with 15 years experience teaching saxophone. I am a graduate of Trinity College of Music. I teach all ages and levels, from total beginners to advanced players. I teach all grades with excellent results in both jazz and classical, but I am equally happy to teach those who simply want to have fun without the pressure of grades.
I have an up to date DBS and I am a member of the Musician's Union

I teach a variety of students, both adults and children. I teach grades 1 - 8 and beyond but also enjoy teaching students who prefer not to take grades. I teach all genres of music including jazz, blues, pop, classical, ska, funk and world music. I like to make my lessons enjoyable by finding out about students' learning styles and musical interests and reflecting these in my teaching, whilst offering an element of challenge as well. I apply my many years of performance experience to my teaching, to make lessons inspiring for students. I have a passion for creativity and improvisation and will support students to develop these skills if they are interested.
