About Alyssa
I recently graduated from Florida A&M University with my Bachelor's in Political Science and a minor in Journalism. I have decided to further my journalism studies at American University in pursuit of my Master's in Journalism and Public Affairs. I have published multiple articles in my school newspaper, The FAMUAN, and plan to continue this trend while in Washington, D.C. This love of writing and reading has grown since I was young, and I am confident that I can help you love English too.

I am a goal-driven, patient, and encouraging tutor who understands that everyone approaches learning differently and the best way to get better at English is practice! A typical lesson may begin with a quick recap of the week, an hour or two of structured lessons and/or assignment help, and end with a relaxing brain break that solidifies what we've learned and prepares the student for the next lesson. I have experience in providing lessons to grades 3-12 and am able to tutor undergraduate students as well. I absolutely love what I do, and I would love the opportunity to help my students grow as readers, writers, and professionals.
