Journalist, writer and holder of a master's degree in sociology of culture at the Paris Diderot University. Official of the Ministry of Culture of Brazil, having served for thirteen years as Director of Communications and Publications. Author of the book “Domingos Montagner – O Espetáculo não Para”, biography of a renowned Brazilian comedian.
Editor of several books on the history and criticism of the performing arts in Brazil, including the book “MPB, a história de um século”, by Ricardo Cravo Albin. Passionate and great connoisseur of Brazilian popular music.

The course “History of samba and bossa nova” presents the origins of samba and the aesthetic innovations brought by the three key artists of Bossa Nova – Tom Jobim, Vinícius de Moraes and João Gilberto – and situates them as a major turning point in the history of Brazilian music.
The goal is to provide an understanding of some aspects of Brazilian society through an interpretation of this music, its texts full of lyricism and its melody full of rhythm.
The course is based on historiographical and sociological texts about the music of Brazil, notably those written by Ruy Castro, Lira Neto, Santuza Naves, Mário de Andrade and Augusto de Campos.
