My teaching methods and techniques include a step-by-step approach to enhance understanding of the material. I am very adaptable therefore am able to provide clear explanations, practice problems and tricks to retain the information. I encourage students to ask as many questions as they have as well as to provide deeper answers to questions asked from previous lessons. I want to make sure each part of the concept is understood on a deep level.
A typical lesson plan includes:
- Going over previous material and questions.
- Concept Introduction
- Step by step problem solving as a group
- Independent Practice
- Questions and Recommendations
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am able to adapt to my student's needs. I have dealt with students ranging from middle school students to college students, meaning I can easily adapt to each of your learning styles. I make math less intimidating by breaking down complex problems into smaller parts, making it more manageable. I want to help you not only solve the problems given to you, but to be confident with the material presented to you.
My lessons are for students ranging from middle school to college freshman.
For middle school students : Building the foundation in algebra, geometry and problem solving, as well as learning how to retain information easier.
For high school students: More advanced algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre calc and calculus.
For college level courses: Pre-calculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3 - as well as advanced engineering Calc 1, 2 and 3.
