About Emma

I'm currently a junior at college, majoring in Biology with a specialization in Neuroscience and Psychology. Throughout high school, I challenged myself with various AP classes, which helped me develop a strong academic foundation. In addition to my studies, I'm an active member of the Mercyhurst stunt team, where I get to showcase my athletic skills and teamwork. Balancing my academic and extracurricular activities has taught me the importance of time management and dedication, and I'm excited to continue growing both academically and personally during my college journey.

About the lesson

In my role as a high school chemistry and math teacher, I focus on delivering comprehensive and engaging lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles. For chemistry, I cover fundamental topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, and the periodic table. I also delve into more advanced concepts like thermodynamics, kinetics, and organic chemistry. In math, I teach a wide range of topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. I place a strong emphasis on understanding and applying mathematical concepts, particularly in solving equations, graphing lines, and working with functions. I also ensure students grasp the practical applications of math in real-world scenarios, as my teaching approach is detailed and structured.
