About Baraa
I am Iraqi and I speak Arabic. I came to the United States when I was 7 years old, now I am 21 years old. I love fitness and wellness! I enjoy spending time outdoors, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my friends and family. I love helping people and I enjoy taking on difficult challenges that improve me as a person and help my community. I aspire to be able to positively impact people around me to do better!
I am a current undergraduate English TESOL student teacher. I graduate in the Spring of 2025 with a Bachelor's Degree in English TESOL along with a teacher license, allowing me to teach in the state of Ohio.

I teach using interactive and student-focused teaching strategies working with K-12. Ensuring the student is prioritized during our tutoring session to ensure they are learning at their own pace, and the material is tailored to their interests and needs.
A typical lesson plan will introduce the objectives and standards the student is working toward. Then, we will evaluate prior knowledge followed by interactive activities for the taught subject. This would be followed by practice! I am a firm believer in practicing what you are taught because that is the best to improve one's English. I also LOVE using diagrams for visualizations and engaging the student to optimize their learning and their critical thinking skills.
In addition, I will highly encourage discussion with friends and family outside of our tutoring session to hone their skills and abilities. This will allow us to maximize our productivity in our tutoring sessions.
