About Jillian

- I am a student at college, hoping to graduate next year!

- I have written tons of essays in both MLA and APA and have cited a gazillion sources/references, so those are not unfamiliar territory.

- I have a passion for correct spelling and grammar and wish that people understood its importance in the professional field.

- I LOVE writing, especially creative writing! I am not scared by writing a 5+page paper, because I have fun doing it.

- I hope that I can impart an appreciation for spelling, proper grammar, and writing to you!

- While I have been told that I'm good at all of these things, remember, I am still a student and therefore still learning, I am NOT a professional and am certainly not a licensed teacher!

- I work on the days that I am not at college, so those days I will be unavailable as my job takes all day and my full attention.

About the lesson

- Provide me your English-related problems and I will help you figure out what sounds, looks, and displays the best for your project/assignment.

- Depending on the assignment, I will go in-depth on what needs changing or how to keep your writing style consistent.

- I can format essays in MLA and APA and I can help you list your sources/references, just tell me what you need!

- Although I am a student, my schedule is flexible and I can always fit in a short lesson if it's urgent. (Please ask for times before trying to schedule a lesson!)

- My age range is 13 the youngest, ages above that will be accepted, however, I cannot teach children below 13.

- A lesson will normally start out with what the problem/problems are, and I will probably want to read or examine what you're doing, then I will instruct you on what needs improvement or what you can change to help make a paper stand out.

- Reminder: I will need to know about certain requirements set by your teacher/professor so that I can give you the best help possible, if I don't know about a certain rule they have, I cannot be held responsible for breaking it, i.e. topics not to write about, formatting rules, etc.

- Lastly, I am not ChatGPT, I am human and will therefore make mistakes in my writing. If you notice a problem with something, like a spelling error, please inform me! This is to give you and others a better tutoring experience.
