About
Hi there, my name is Rosa and I am studying English A-level at a school in Oxford. I previously did English GCSE and after receiving a grade 9 wanted to pursue my passion to a higher degree. I am hoping to study English at university. I have decided to become a tutor as I feel it will be a rewarding experience and I will enjoy having the opportunity to help improve someone’s confidence and understanding of the subject.

After assessing the level of my student I will try and quickly make them more confident in weakened areas and focus on repetition in order to help them remember key information for the exam. I understand that embracing creativity is an extremely important part of learning to love English; however, I also understand that it needs to be balanced with a strong knowledge and understanding of the mark schemes and exam boards. I would recommend a lesson being up to an hour long; however, it is ultimately up to the student. I am happy to teach whatever the student wants and would prefer to be told before the lesson so that I have time to prepare! If the student doesn’t know where to start that is also okay and I am happy to create a lesson, as long as I know exam boards etc. I like to focus on thoroughly understanding content before going through exams; however, it is up to the student. I am currently studying English Literature A-level and I got a 9 in GCSE. I am looking to study English at university so my lessons are taught with real passion.
