About Agana
My name is Dr Agana Gnanakuruparan and I have always been deeply passionate about the biological sciences, holding two degrees: a degree in Medicine and a first-class degree in Medical Physiology from the University of Nottingham. I am genuinely dedicated to teaching and have previously tutored junior medical students, supporting both their academic understanding and clinical development. Having attended a wide range of teaching sessions myself—both mandatory university modules and additional voluntary workshops—I have developed a clear understanding of what makes teaching engaging, structured, and effective. This experience informs my approach to creating sessions that are interactive, clinically relevant, and learner-focused.

I am a Kent-based doctor, St George’s graduate, offering medical students supportive clinical teaching, bedside learning, and case-based discussions. I help strengthen clinical reasoning, examination technique, and OSCE confidence. Ideal for motivated students seeking to refine practical skills, deepen clinical knowledge, and develop a professional, patient-centred approach. My approach is highly interactive and case-based. We work through real patient scenarios to develop clinical reasoning, supplemented by OSCE role-plays to refine examination and communication skills. I also teach structured strategies for multiple-choice questions, helping students think logically, justify answers, and improve performance in written assessments.
