About Zachary
I enjoy making piano lessons enjoyable, practical, and easy to understand for college students. With 12 years of teaching experience, I help students develop strong musical skills while building confidence in their abilities.
My teaching style combines patience, communication, and active participation. I explain every lesson in simple English and use demonstrations that make learning clear and effective. Students are encouraged to practice consistently.
I use innovative teaching methods including technology-assisted learning, rhythm practice, ear training, listening exercises, and customized assignments. These techniques help students remain motivated while improving technical skills.
Students gain confidence in note reading, scales, chords, finger coordination, posture, rhythm, and expressive playing. I provide regular progress reviews and personalized feedback that supports long-term improvement.

I regularly use real-life examples and case studies to explain musical concepts. Students learn rhythm through everyday actions, understand harmony through familiar songs, and discover how musicians use different techniques during performances. These practical connections make learning interesting and memorable.
Understanding is the foundation of every lesson. I encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop confidence instead of simply memorizing notes. Lessons progress gradually so students build strong technical and theoretical knowledge.
Communication is always clear and supportive. I explain every topic using simple English, provide demonstrations, and offer helpful feedback after every lesson. Students receive practical exercises that encourage regular improvement.
Integrity is reflected in my honest guidance, professional attitude, and commitment to every learner. I encourage discipline, patience, and consistent practice while celebrating every achievement along the way.
Besides piano, I also teach keyboard, music theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, rhythm exercises, finger techniques, accompaniment, and beginner music composition. My aim is to inspire students to enjoy music, perform confidently, and continue learning throughout their lives.
