About Pablo
I am an enthusiastic and effective teacher of Spanish (language, culture and applied Spanish for business, tourism and law). I did my master’s degree for teaching at the University of Valencia and I did specialise in “Methodology and didactics of teaching Spanish as a foreign language” at the Cervantes Institute. I have eight years of experience teaching Spanish to foreign Students, mainly I have taught to English, French and Italian speaking students (I speak those languages as well). I am a friendly, hardworking and passionate person. I enjoy helping others to achieve their goals and strive for high grades in their exams and coursework, and even most importantly: I enjoy creating the curiosity needed in the student, the only real tool, that will allow him/her to learn the language. In England, I have taught in a variety of secondary schools (GCSE and A-levels) and I am perfectly aware of the difficulties that students face when learning a foreign language. I can support the students of GCSE and A-levels: reviewing the lessons and preparing with them their assessments, but I can do much more than this: there are many different methods and approaches for learning languages, and in my opinion the best thing to do, is to follow a communicative approach: I truly believe that the best way of teaching a foreign language is to create the need of communication and to arouse students' curiosity. In order to teach Spanish for a diverse public, with different needs and goals I will prepare different programmes, for example, here you can find my programme for students and professionals who need to learn Spanish for business and commercial purposes. To whom it may concern
We are a construction company and at the beginning of the year we won a project in Spain.
We had to find a tutor who will agree to rapidly teach our team in Spanish language. That is how we met Mr. Pavon.
He agreed to help us and he teaches us 4 hours per day every day for the period of 4 months.
I can highly recommend him as the level of education we received was exceptional. He was very punctual and very creative. Although he had to work with two groups as we had to rotate our teams, he achieved maximum results for the short period we had.
Thanks to him our team went to Spain fully prepared with more than the basic knowledge of the language.
Furthermore Mr. Pavon went the extra mile and his lessons covered more technical aspects of the language as per our request.
He was always well prepared and on time for the lessons, and he kept his professionalism to the highest levels all the time.
Thanks to him we secured the second stage of the project as our Spanish clients were delighted that we could communicate well enough that they avoided paying for translators.
