About the lesson

You need someone who is highly organized and effective and who is experienced and proficient in teaching accounting / business-related subjects. I believe my experience and education serve me well for this role and I will be able to exceed your expectations.
I earned two Masters degrees (Business Management and Human Resources Management) and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. I am a member of various banking/accounting-related professional institutions including the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA).
In my previous capacity as an instructor at Bluestone British Academy for 6 years, I was able to deliver my lessons in line with the laid down principles and procedures as approved by the government and the school.
I successfully taught Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, and marketing to Grades 10 to 12. The students understood the concepts and were able to apply them to their day-to-day activities. They also excelled in their internal and external examinations.
I applied various teaching techniques to enhance the students’ understanding of the subjects taught. Such included the use of quizzes, assignments, research work, videos, internships, review questions, tests, summaries, role play by students, etc.
My practical experience in the business world that spans over a decade has been a great asset to me in getting the students to understand practical applications of subjects taught.
Being an international student in Canada has helped me assess the quality of my service delivery. I have observed with excitement that my methods and strategies match those applied by my current instructors at the college.
I am proficient in the use of online learning platforms and will adapt quickly with little guidance. I am an expert user of Microsoft Office applications, QuickBooks and Sage.
My spoken English is fluent and native. In addition, I have good verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills and I am also a good team player.
I am flexible, adaptable to change, and a fast learner. I am always positive and I see challenges as routes to success. I adhere to policies with the end in mind and do not hesitate to suggest policy improvements to management. I also enjoy working with the information technology team to achieve process improvements once approved by management.
