About Rukshaan
I have been tutoring for over 7 years and have always enjoyed helping students achieve goals that they may not have thought were possible. I achieved 14 A* equivalent grades at GCSE, (8 subjects were 9s) including maths and sciences, and followed this up with 3 A*s in A level for Maths, Biology and Chemistry so I do know my stuff!
Having studied the content myself relatively recently and taught it extensively over the years, I know the material inside out and understand the challenges students commonly face.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is building a genuine interest in the subject. In my experience, students perform best when they are engaged and motivated, rather than simply memorising information. I aim to make lessons interactive, approachable, and enjoyable, helping students understand not just what they need to know, but why it matters and how it all fits together.
Having once been in the same position as my students, I understand the pressures of exams, revision, and balancing multiple commitments. This allows me to relate to students and tailor my teaching to their individual needs. Beyond improving understanding and confidence, my goal is to help students develop the motivation and consistency needed to stay focused and see their studies through to the results they are aiming for.
There is nothing more rewarding than working alongside a student, seeing their progress week by week, and helping them achieve the grades and opportunities they have worked hard for.

I offer online 1-to-1 tutoring tailored to the student's exam board and specification. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are delivered using an interactive online whiteboard, clear diagrams, and structured notes to ensure thorough understanding of each topic.
My teaching focuses on active learning, with regular questioning, guided problem-solving, and exam-style practice throughout the lesson. Rather than simply giving answers, I help students develop their own understanding and reasoning, building confidence and improving long-term retention.
As a medical student with extensive experience tutoring science subjects, I provide up-to-date, specification-focused lessons that cover both core knowledge and exam technique. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students looking to strengthen their understanding, improve grades, and feel more confident approaching exam questions.
