About Eda
I was born in Malaysia but grew up in the UK. I studied Languages (French, German and Spanish) at Durham University. As a language graduate, I know very well the challenges that students face when learning a language and the best ways to overcome these difficulties. I also have extensive experience teaching. As part of my year abroad in my undergraduate studies, I taught English in a primary school in Berlin with British Council. I have also taught English for numerous volunteer positions, most recently in Mexico for a nonprofit.
Additionally, I have work experience in the hospitality industry, investment banking and the nonprofit sector. I am very familiar with the job application process, client communications and dealing with other work situations.

My teaching method is to tailor each curriculum to the needs and interests of my students. We will spend the first lesson discussing your current level, your goals and your strengths. This will help me develop the most effective lesson plan. Regular check-ins are important to make sure that you're not only learning effectively but that you're also enjoying your lessons.
Through my own language learning experiences and previous teaching roles, I have learnt the best practices to make sure lessons are always engaging, challenging and fun. I know how hard it can be to learn a language and more importantly, practice a language to improve fluency. I will create a safe and enjoyable space to help you reach your goals.
