About Tony

My name is Tony, and I am a current Structural/Building Engineering student at Concordia University. I am in my 3rd year and finished last semester with a 4.0 GPA. I lived in Dubai my whole life and I am originally from Egypt, which has helped me adapt to different academic systems and teaching styles.

I have a strong understanding of high-level math, physics, Calculus 1 and 2, electricity and magnetism, and core engineering courses. I can also help CEGEP students who want to strengthen their knowledge before entering university.

The subjects I can teach include Calculus 1 and 2, Grade 4 and 5 math, high school math, Algebra 1 and 2, Thermodynamics, Dynamics, and Mechanics of Materials. My goal is to explain difficult topics in a simple way, go step by step, and help students feel more confident before exams, assignments, and future engineering courses.

About the lesson

In my lessons I would go with the student over the objective of the lesson. Always start with a quick video explaining the general concept of the lesson. Then I would start by solving a couple of problems so the student understands the general approaches to tackle a question. I would then provide questions for the student to solve. End with a summary of what we learned and extra tips and tricks! Since I think that everyone can understand any arithmetic subject, no matter how simple or complex, I approach math instruction with extreme gentleness and patience. In an effort to identify the most effective and convenient manner for my pupils to understand the subject matter in a way that suits them best, I strive to present a variety of perspectives on a subject or idea. To make sure my students comprehend the content, I also take my time and go over any parts they might be unsure of. Since I've already walked this path and can offer advice on what to do, my meticulous approach to studying has allowed me to look further and assist many students in their trip through the topic.
