About Antony
I am an experienced Latin Tutor who has also studied Ancient Greek and Ancient History extensively as part of fulfilling degree requirements in programmes both here in the UK and in the United States. I've been tutoring Latin students, both in person and primarily online, since 2014. In addition to these academic qualifications, I am also involved heavily with groups using Ukrainian, Spanish, and Italian, as well as in Churches where the primary languages of worship are Latin, Greek, and Church Slavonic. This has given me a unique grasp on many of the issues that confront a person when attempting to learn a new language, both issues involved with speaking a language and those involved with trying to internalise the characteristics of a language when that language is primarily unspoken. Although I have logged many hours tutoring and have attained high qualifications through University Degrees, I understand that I have not personally achieved many of the UK specific qualifications in A-levels, GCSEs, AS, and neither in the IB. Despite this, I believe that my proven knowledge of the material still gives me the ability to help any student who comes to me. I hope I am able to offer assistance. Antony was great for my son two struggled with Latin all year. He was patient and followed up on things needed for my son’s advancement in Latin. The flexibility was terrific too.
I wanted to be able to read as well be able to talk in latin, so he found the Reginald Foster Method for me. I'd highly recommend him as a tutor.
