About Eva
I am a 3rd year student studying Classics at the University of Oxford. I have received excellent results in my most recent set of exams, as well as my public exams in Latin and have enjoyed coaching younger children in the language in my school. I have been tutoring privately for three years now and am part of a tutoring company, through which I've really enjoyed having the opportunity to hone my teaching skills!
In my spare time, I enjoy singing and playing traditional Irish music, as well as helping out in my college's Student Union.

I am very happy to tutor my students towards goals that they wish to achieve, whether that's a GCSE exam or learning the language for the fun of it!
I usually use vocabulary tests, grammar sessions and translation exercises for the grammer side of things, but I have found that combining the language with ancient history and archaeology can really bring Latin to life, as well being useful to gain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the texts we translate. I am also able to teach scansion/reading metre in Latin poetry, depending on your level of experience - I'm very flexible in what we cover!
I have been the primary tutor for the study of both GCSE and A level Latin exams, and am happy to go over past papers and discuss revision strategies alongside what we learn. I also have comprehensive grammar notes up to A level standard.
