About Ceola

I loved English in school and this is largely down to the fact I had teachers who helped me to understand and enjoy the subject. I love to teach and am eager to help others find an interest in English, or do the best they can in this subject. Having recently completed a degree in law, a subject which is very reading and writing based, I know what it's like to feel a little bit overwhelmed by a word-heavy subject. Equally, I have learned the skills to work through any challenges and am now able to pass these tips on to students of all levels. I have been tutoring junior and leaving cert students over the past four years, so I'm also up to date on the current curriculum and am always willing to do a bit of work myself where there is new material to be covered :)

About the lesson

My classes cater to the student's need, be that exam focus or personal goals. Where applicable, I will provide notes or work through questions and provide exam technique. My aim is to improve students' confidence. Lessons range from 40 mins to an hour. I have been working in teaching roles for 8 years now, as a sailing instructor, music teacher, and outreach mentor, so I am comfortable in adapting my teaching to suit the needs of any student.
