About Benjamin

Hello there! My name is Benjamin. I have been reading and writing since I was born. It quickly grew into a passion of mine and as such I have grown a mastery of applying these skills in my academic experience. I graduated from high school with honours and easily received letters of recommendation from my English professors whenever I required them. I went on to graduate from the social science field in CEGEP with honours. During my time there, I took at least 28 courses, which all were heavily concentrated in reading and writing. Thankfully, I excelled and got myself into McGill's Political Science program. Though it was definitely a step-up having to read and summarize thousands of pages a week, I still excelled, attaining a 3.85 GPA when the mean average falls around a 3.45. I got As in many papers, especially when I figured out the system. By the end of the first year it had turned out that I qualified for the honours program, however I instead decided to apply to the Civil Law faculty at the University of Ottawa, and I was accepted. Further, they offered me a spot in a work study program with a Civil Law degree paired with a specialized bachelors in International Development and Globalization. I have come far because of the skills I struggled to attain. Let me teach you these skills, so you can excel too!

About the lesson

Hello! As much as I am sure to enjoy our time together, let me be clear. My ultimate goal is to teach you how to think, read and write so efficiently that you do not need me anymore. My teaching style is tailored to the type of student and their goals. I care deeply about my students and help them succeed, whether that means dramatically improving your writing and reading skills or helping you achieve amazing grades (I like to aim for both). I sharply identify the important information required to achieve excellent results and cut out the less important details. Through a system of practice tests designed by myself or taken from a similar source your teacher uses, I can re-create the same conditions one would deal with in an exam and get the student perfectly comfortable reading and writing efficiently. I can help with brainstorming for assignments and particularly when it comes to designing outlines. The reality is that it is really not that difficult, and you are more than capable. Simply put, you just need someone to teach you how to think efficiently, and this is my specialty.
