About Laura

I am Laura, 29, originally from Frankfurt, Germany, now living in London, Marylebone. I work as a lawyer - a decision that was made mainly because of my passion for the German language. I used to be a tutor back in Germany for many subjects, mostly German and English though and I have worked in two schools as a teaching assistant. In my free time I enjoy exploring London, reading and going to the gym.

About the lesson

As a native German speaker and qualified lawyer with teaching experience, I bring a structured yet engaging approach to teaching. I believe language learning should be immersive and practical, so I focus on conversational German, vocabulary building, and grammatical accuracy. Depending on the student's needs, I incorporate real-life scenarios, business/legal terminology (for professionals), and interactive activities to make learning dynamic and relatable. For children, I incorporate games, songs, and storytelling to create a fun, supportive learning environment.

I use a combination of traditional teaching materials, digital resources, and tailored content to suit different learning styles. Each lesson is designed to build confidence, whether you are a beginner learning the basics or an advanced student aiming to refine your fluency.
