About Alex
With over 12 years of experience teaching Guitar to college students, I focus on providing personalised and engaging lessons that inspire growth. My teaching style balances technical skill-building with creative expression, ensuring every student enjoys their learning journey.
I use a combination of exercises, song practice, improvisation, and recording tools to make lessons interactive and effective. Music theory is explained simply, so students can immediately apply it while playing. I also encourage experimentation and personal expression, helping students develop their own musical identity.
Over the past 12 years, I have guided students to improve finger technique, master challenging pieces, and perform with confidence. My goal is to create a learning experience that builds both skill and passion, making Guitar lessons inspiring and rewarding.

My guitar teaching methodology emphasises creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I focus on helping students develop technical skills while expressing themselves musically. Students are encouraged to experiment with chords, improvise, and create their own songs, making learning both fun and meaningful.
As a mentor, I guide students with patience and support, providing constructive feedback and personalised lesson plans to help them overcome challenges and build confidence. Critical thinking is an important part of my approach—I teach students to understand music theory, analyse songs, and solve problems independently.
Accountability ensures progress and motivation. We set realistic goals, track improvements, and celebrate milestones. Lessons include a mix of practice, exercises, and creative exploration to keep students engaged.
Beyond guitar, I can also teach music theory, composition, and improvisation. My ultimate goal is to nurture confident, creative, and independent musicians who enjoy learning, performing, and expressing themselves through music.
