About Ilias
I am a Greek violist currently serving as Principal Viola of the Orchestre national de Lyon. I perform internationally as an orchestral and chamber musician and have collaborated with renowned artists including Leonidas Kavakos. Alongside performing, I am passionate about teaching and helping students develop both strong technical foundations and a personal artistic voice through focused, high-level musical training.

My lessons are tailored individually to each student’s level, goals, and artistic personality. I work on technical foundations, sound production, bow control, intonation, posture, musical interpretation, orchestral excerpts, audition preparation, and performance confidence. I teach both violin and viola, from advanced beginners to conservatory and professional levels. My approach combines high technical standards with musical freedom and efficiency, drawing from my international orchestral and chamber music experience.
