About Daniel
Hey there! I'm Dan, a resident of Bend, Oregon. I have been playing chess for over 10 years and am excited to share my passion for the game with others. If you're interested in thinking about chess a different way, come work with me! I have been playing chess for over 10 years now. I'm rated 1750 USCF ((concealed information)) and 2100 chess.com (bowtown) with proficiency in a wide variety of openings and playstyles. I have worked with many people on their chess in the past, mostly through clubs. I was previously the president of my college chess club and am a current deputy at the Bend Chess & Go Club. I am also a certified USCF club tournament director who has been very active in the tournament scene. Work with me and we can work together on making you a better player!

I would love to help you improve, whether you're a beginner looking to break 1000 or are an intermediate player looking to improve their game. We'd start with a teaching game to see where you're currently at, and then work through a variety of puzzles and positions to strengthen the weak aspects of your game. We could work on openings, middlegames, endgames, closed positions, open positions, statics, dynamics, and much more depending on each student's needs. Overall just looking to help more people enjoy the game of chess!
