About Rythika
I am a professionally trained Carnatic Classical Vocalist and Educator with over 10 years of experience in the field of Indian classical music. Throughout my musical journey, I have undergone rigorous training in the traditional 'Guru–Shishya Parampara', which has enabled me to develop a deep understanding of the theoretical, technical, and artistic dimensions of Carnatic music.
Over the years, I have actively participated in numerous prestigious music competitions and have performed in several Carnatic kacheris (classical concerts), gaining valuable stage experience and exposure to diverse audiences.
As an educator, I am committed to preserving the authenticity of the Carnatic tradition while adapting my teaching methods to suit the needs of today's learners. My instruction emphasizes precision in Śruti (pitch), Tālam (rhythm), voice cultivation, and a comprehensive understanding of Carnatic theory and notation.
My teaching is characterized by structured lesson planning, individualized attention, and consistent assessment of each student's progress. Whether training beginners or mentoring aspiring performers, I strive to create an environment that nurtures technical proficiency, musical confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for Carnatic music.
I welcome students of all age groups and levels—from young beginners to adults and advanced learners seeking performance-oriented training, competition preparation, or guidance for graded music examinations.

My classes are designed to provide a strong foundation in Carnatic Classical Music while making learning enjoyable, structured, and tailored to each student's pace. I believe that every learner has a unique musical journey, so I personalize my teaching approach based on the student's age, prior experience, learning goals, and level of commitment.
Teaching Methodology
I follow a systematic and traditional Guru–Shishya approach, combined with modern online teaching techniques to ensure an engaging and effective learning experience. Emphasis is placed on developing:
Śruti (pitch alignment)
Accuracy of Thalam
Pronunciation and lyrical understanding
Breathing techniques
Confidence in performance
Students are encouraged not only to sing compositions but also to understand the theory and concepts behind them, helping them develop into well-rounded musicians who are capable of understanding notations for any song that come across them.
Class Structure
Each session is structured to ensure consistent progress:
Beginning with Sadhakam (stable chord)
Brief revision of previous lessons
Introduction of new composition
Practice with corrections on Śruti, Thalam and Vocal chord
Interactive doubt-clearing and guidance for home practice
Teaching How to find your exact shruti pitch
As students advance, lessons include Geethams, Swarajatis, Varnams, Keerthanam, devotional compositions and concert preparation, depending on their proficiency.
