About Hiranmayee
Hiranmayee. S/Vibha Srinidhi - is a well known name soaring high in the Carnatic music circuit as both a sought after artist and a teacher.
Hailing from a family of musicians rooted in Mysore, Hiranmayee got her foundation in music strong and is currently under the wings of Sangeeta Kalacharya Vid. Smt. Suguna Varadachari - Chennai, for over a decade.
Currently a B and B - High graded artist of the All India Radio - Chennai, she is a recipient of the 'Bharat Ratna M.S.Subbulakshmi fellowship' from Shanmugananda Sabha - Mumbai and has 'Adharsha Kala Rathna' and 'Sangeeta Vidwat Bhooshana' titles to her credit from Adharsha Seva Sangha - Mysore and Madras Music Academy - Chennai, respectively.
Steadily carving out the niche for herself, Hiranmayee is appreciated by many senior musicians for her bhAva filled unhurried music, approach towards aesthetics and nuances, her richly sweet voice and a clean enunciation of compositions.
Having trained also in 'Sugama Sangeeta' with strong roots of Kannada language, Hiranmayee handles both the genres with ease justifying the specific techniques both genre separately demands.
Initiated at 23 into teaching by her Guru Suguna Varadachari, Hiranmayee has been training students online spread all over the United States and India. She has also been one of the trainers at 'Sustaining Sampradaya', a flagship of the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival for the last few years.
Adherence to tradition, ample patience, uncompromising the values of discipline and breaking down the teaching methods make Hiranmayee stand out as a young teacher.
