About Roshani
Hello, I’m Roshani, a qualified Software Engineer and Computer Science postgraduate with over four years of professional industry experience. I hold an MSc in Advanced Computer Science and a strong academic background in Computer Engineering, which allows me to teach both the theory and real-world application of coding with clarity and confidence.
I pride myself on being a reliable, well-prepared, and professional tutor who genuinely cares about student progress. I plan my lessons carefully, explain concepts in a clear and structured way, and adapt my teaching style to suit each learner’s pace and goals. I believe that confidence is key to learning, especially in coding, and I work hard to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My experience working in industry has helped me develop strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, which I bring into every lesson. My approach to tutoring is patient, structured, and tailored to each student. I believe coding is best learnt by doing, so I focus on hands-on practice, real examples, and step-by-step problem solving rather than just theory. I start by understanding a student’s current level, goals, and learning style, then adapt my teaching pace and methods to suit them.
Lessons are interactive and practical. I explain concepts in simple terms, use visual examples where helpful, and encourage students to ask questions freely. For beginners, I focus on building strong fundamentals and confidence. For more advanced students, I work on problem-solving skills, exam preparation, and applying concepts to real-world scenarios.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on the student’s age, attention span, and goals. Each session usually includes a short recap, new learning, guided practice, and time for questions or review.
I’m Roshani, a Software Engineer with over 4 years of industry experience and a Distinction-level MSc in Advanced Computer Science. I have a strong background in Python, programming fundamentals, algorithms, and Computer Science concepts, and I enjoy making technical topics approachable and engaging.
My lessons are suitable for school students (GCSE and A-Level), beginners, and adult learners who want to learn coding, improve their Computer Science understanding, or build confidence in programming from scratch.
