About Ivan
I'm a native speaker of Croatian and Serbian, and I love helping people actually speak the language rather than just study it from a textbook. Whether you're starting from zero, brushing up for a trip, reconnecting with your family roots, or already know some and want to become fluent — I'll meet you at your level.
I'm patient, relaxed, and easy to talk to. There's no pressure and no judgment — just real conversation and steady progress.

My approach is simple: we learn by talking. From the very first lessons we build up real, usable language through conversation on topics you actually care about — everyday situations, travel, family, food, culture, work — whatever fits your goals.
I bring in grammar and vocabulary naturally, as they come up in conversation, so it never feels dry or overwhelming. For complete beginners, I start with the basics — greetings, simple phrases, pronunciation — and build from there. For more advanced learners, we focus on speaking more freely, correcting mistakes, and sounding natural.
Croatian and Serbian are very close, so I can teach either one depending on what you need — just let me know which you're aiming for.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and is fully tailored to you. All lessons are online via Google Meet.
The first lesson is free, so we can get to know each other and figure out the best plan for your goals.
