About Juan Carlos
I am a passionate and dedicated English teacher with a strong background in communication, education, and learner development. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, major in Broadcasting, from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and a Post-Baccalaureate in Education, major in Social Science, from the Philippine Normal University. My teaching philosophy centers on creating an engaging, supportive, and student-focused learning environment where learners build confidence in using English through meaningful communication, interactive activities, and practical applications. I strive to make every lesson enjoyable and relevant by adapting my teaching strategies to each student's learning style and goals. Whether teaching young learners, high school and college students, or adult professionals, I am committed to helping them develop their English proficiency, critical thinking, and communication skills while fostering a lifelong love for learning.

My approach as an English tutor is learner-centered, interactive, and tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. I use a communicative teaching method that encourages students to actively develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through discussions, role-playing, practical exercises, and real-life applications while reinforcing grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and critical thinking. A typical lesson begins with a brief review or warm-up, followed by the introduction of new concepts, guided practice through engaging activities, independent application, and constructive feedback to ensure understanding and continuous improvement. What sets me apart as a tutor is my background in Communication, which enables me to explain concepts clearly and effectively, combined with my professional experience in training, coaching, and quality assurance, allowing me to adapt my teaching style to different learning levels and provide personalized support. My lessons are suitable for elementary, junior high school, senior high school, college students, and adult learners who want to improve their English for academic success, professional development, public speaking, workplace communication, or everyday conversation, with each session designed to build confidence, fluency, and practical communication skills.
