About Patricia
Hi! I’m Patricia, an enthusiastic and patient English tutor from Ireland, who loves helping students gain real confidence in their communication skills. I believe that learning English should be enjoyable, practical, and empowering, not stressful or overly academic. I’ve taught students from a wide range of backgrounds and levels, from beginners building their first sentences to advanced learners polishing their fluency for work, study, or travel. My approach is always personalized, focusing on what motivates you and adapting lessons to suit your pace and goals. I specialize in helping learners improve speaking fluency, pronunciation, and everyday conversation skills, but I also provide support for writing, grammar, and exam preparation. My lessons are built around real-life topics and natural communication, so you can start using English with confidence from day one. When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me reading a book, watching my favorite shows or walking with my 3 dogs. My Approach to Tutoring My lessons are designed to make English practical, engaging, and confidence-building. I focus on helping students use English naturally in real conversations, whether that’s for travel, work, study, or everyday life. Every session is tailored to the learner’s goals, level, and interests, so no two lessons are exactly alike. Teaching Techniques & Methodology I use a communicative, student-centered approach, meaning we spend most of our time speaking and applying what you learn. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, not through endless drills. I incorporate authentic materials (articles, videos, roleplays, and discussions) to keep lessons dynamic and relevant. You’ll get clear explanations, practical exercises, and continuous feedback to help you grow quickly and confidently. Lesson Structure & Length A typical lesson lasts 30 minutes, though I also offer 60-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on your schedule and focus. Each class includes review, new material, and a short fluency or pronunciation activity to end on a strong note. Qualifications & Experience I’m a qualified English teacher with a Master's degree in Education and 15 years of experience teaching students from all over the world. I’ve worked with learners from beginner to advanced level, helping them prepare for exams, improve workplace communication, and develop everyday fluency. Who My Lessons Are For I teach teens and adults at all proficiency levels — from absolute beginners to advanced speakers. Whether you’re preparing for IELTS, improving pronunciation, or simply want to speak English more naturally, I’ll help you make steady, visible progress.
