• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I specialize in conversational English and communication skills. Because I have been immersed in an English-medium education from the very beginning, the language has always felt intuitive and accessible to me. While I have a strong academic background in the sciences, particularly biology, I found a unique passion for language tutoring. I developed an interest in this field because I wanted to bridge the gap for beginners, taking what came naturally to me in school and turning it into a structured, supportive learning experience for others.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach and why?

  My motivation comes from two places: a natural passion for helping others and seeing the tangible success of online teaching. From the beginning, I’ve always loved teaching. I used to do it informally—helping classmates and tutoring needy juniors purely out of a desire to see them succeed.
  Recently, I was deeply inspired by a close friend of mine. She started online teaching early on, and seeing how much she has grown both personally and financially made me realize that I could turn my natural knack for teaching into a meaningful professional venture. I thought, 'Why not give it a shot?' It’s the perfect way to combine a skill I genuinely enjoy with a productive career path.

• How does your work help society?

  I believe my work helps society by equipping students with two of the most essential tools for the modern world: global communication and scientific literacy.
  Through English, I help society by breaking down communication barriers and boosting personal confidence. English is a massive driver for career growth and economic mobility, and I give students the skills to unlock those global opportunities.
  Through Biology, I help build a healthier, more informed society. Biology teaches students to understand human health, appreciate the environment, and think critically based on scientific facts rather than misinformation.
  By teaching both, I’m not just helping students pass exams—I am shaping well-rounded individuals who have the knowledge to understand the world and the language skills to impact it.

• If you had to think of a roll model for your work who do you think of and why?

  If I had to choose a role model for my work, it would be Vinh Giang. He is a world-renowned communication expert and teacher who blends showmanship with practical skills. His core philosophy is that communication is not an inherent trait you are born with; it is a series of behaviors that anyone can practice and master.
  What I admire most about him is his playful and highly engaging teaching style. He breaks down complex concepts—like vocal variety, body language, and overcoming the fear of speaking—into simple, actionable 'cheat codes.' He makes learning fun and highly digestible, which is exactly how I believe a language and fluency tutor should teach.
  As an English tutor, I want to bring that same energy to my students on Superprof. Many beginners struggle with English not because they don't know the words, but because they lack the confidence to speak. By emulating Vinh Giang's approach, I aim to create a relaxed, interactive environment where my students can learn playfully, practice without fear, and build real-world communication confidence quickly.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching

  Outside of teaching, I really enjoy digital content creation and video editing. It’s a great creative outlet for me, and it actually helps me think about how to present information visually and engagingly, which sometimes sneaks its way into how I plan my lessons....

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  I once worked with a student who was struggling with conversational fluency because traditional textbook methods just weren't clicking for them. They found grammar drills boring and couldn't apply them to real life. I decided to ditch the standard worksheets and tailor our sessions entirely around their personal interests.
  We used daily-life scenarios, media, and interactive discussions to practice natural phrasing and pronunciation. The result? They stopped trying to 'translate' sentences in their head and started thinking directly in English. It taught me that every student learns differently, and a personalized, engaging approach always wins over rigid rules.
