About Laura
Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, Laura is a passionate tutor. She comes from an artistic family and was raised in a bilingual English/Spanish background. She has lived in Spain, New York, Italy and California. She is currently living in Sacramento. Because of her experience with languages and her international background Laura enjoys teaching people new languages. She is the perfect teacher especially if you speak Spanish and need to learn English since she is bilingual.
Nacida y criada en Madrid, España, Laura es una tutora apasionada. Proviene de una familia de artistas y creció en un entorno bilingüe inglés/español. Ha vivido en España, Nueva York, Italia y California. Actualmente reside en Sacramento. Gracias a su experiencia con los idiomas y a su trayectoria internacional, Laura disfruta enseñando nuevos idiomas a otras personas. My teaching method is based on the student's needs. If there is homework needed for the class, I will go over it and help/correct it. If what the student is looking for is more conversation to become more fluent, I will bring different topics of discussion to each session. I also like to work with verbs and vocabulary to help the student become more confident. I will work on oral skills, writing skills and practicing conversations and anything else the student needs.
Mi método de enseñanza se basa en las necesidades del estudiante. Si la clase requiere tareas, las revisaré y ayudaré a corregirlas. Si lo que el estudiante busca es más conversación para ganar fluidez, propondré diferentes temas de discusión en cada sesión. También me gusta trabajar con verbos y vocabulario para ayudar al estudiante a ganar confianza. Trabajaré en las habilidades orales y escritas, en la práctica de conversaciones y en cualquier otra cosa que el estudiante necesite.
