About Chance

️★ Qualified: I have been studying to teach English for 3 years at a university level, and I have 400+ hours of teaching experience with people from many different countries and native languages. I am also TEFL certified and I have minors in Applied Linguistics and ESOL. Additionally, I have been studying Spanish intensively for 4 years, so I know how it feels to learn a new language! ALL NATIVE LANGUAGES WELCOME!

★️ About me!: Hi there! I am originally from North Carolina, and currently attend the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, where I study Spanish and Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I am also an artist and a writer, so I love making art, doing photography, and writing poetry. I also love reading, so I always have books with me! I am so grateful that my passion for language has led me to my current path of teaching English & Spanish. I love meeting new people, so I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Soy originario de Carolina del Norte y actualmente estudio en la Universidad de Florida Central (UCF) en Orlando, Florida, donde me especializo en Español y Enseñanza de Inglés como Lengua Extranjera. También soy artista y escritor, por lo que me encanta crear arte, hacer fotografía y escribir poesía. ¡Además, me encanta leer, así que siempre tengo libros conmigo! Estoy muy agradecido de que mi pasión por los idiomas me haya llevado a este camino de enseñar inglés y español. Me encanta conocer gente nueva, ¡así que espero tener la oportunidad de trabajar contigo!

★️ Personalized: Our lessons are personalized based on YOUR needs and YOUR goals. I make sure to focus on your individual interests in order to make your learning relevant to you.

★️ What to expect: During our lessons, we will use natural conversations to improve your English. These conversations can range from personal stories, weekly summaries, or online articles that we read and discuss. If you want a direct grammar explanation, no problem! I'm happy to explain any concept you need help with.

★️ Keep track of your learning!: During our sessions, I type new vocabulary and grammar corrections in the chat, so you can learn as you go without interrupting your speaking. At the end of the session, I paste the chat into an organized Google document for you to review whenever you need it!

★ PLEASE READ: $20 is the base rate for conversational classes. If you have a child or teen with beginner English skills, the base rate will be $40 to allow lesson planning time. Discounts are available for multiple sessions per week if needed.
