About Mariel
I am a dedicated and passionate Filipino tutor committed to helping students achieve their academic goals with confidence. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to meet each learner's needs, goals, and learning pace. My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and encouraging, creating a comfortable environment where students can confidently ask questions and express their ideas.
My lessons usually begin with a short review of previous topics, followed by a clear explanation of the new lesson using simple examples and real-life situations. I incorporate reading, writing, speaking, grammar exercises, vocabulary-building activities, and comprehension tasks to help students develop a strong understanding of the Filipino language. At the end of each session, I provide practice exercises, feedback, and tips for improvement to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and commitment to making lessons engaging and easy to understand. I focus not only on helping students achieve better grades but also on building their confidence in using Filipino effectively in school and everyday communication.
