About Monica
Grammar exercises are rarely the highlight of a day. I discard standard drills in favor of real context.
We will work on your writing skills and reading comprehension through the lens of French chanson. My 9 years of teaching experience allow me to pivot between exam prep and casual conversation. You get free access to my vocabulary and grammar notes as part of the package.

Spending 13 years in the Montreal folk scene taught me that language lives in the rhythm. It is a bit surprising that I now spend as much time dissecting grammar as I do writing melodies. My BA in Musique populaire from UQAM serves as the foundation for my approach.
I have guided students through DELF and DALF preparation while helping professionals refine their business French. My classroom is a space for conversational fluency and cultural context. I focus on the nuances of nasal sounds and liaison to polish your pronunciation.
