About Fanny

Bonjour! I’m a native French speaker with a PhD in marine biology and a passion for teaching. Having lived, worked, and studied in France, Australia, Brazil, and Asia, I bring a global perspective to my lessons. With experience teaching in diverse settings—from the Maldives to French after-school programs and as a teaching assistant at the University of British Columbia—I know how to adapt to different learning styles. I believe that one of the best ways to learn a language is through conversation, especially for beginners, to build confidence quickly. I'm also highly proficient in French grammar and happy to help with homework, offering clear explanations and personalized support. My goal is to create a welcoming, flexible, and encouraging environment where you can progress effectively and enjoyably.

About the lesson

As a native French speaker with extensive academic experience, I offer online, conversation-based classes tailored to beginners. My teaching focuses on practical communication skills, helping you gain confidence in real-life situations. I adapt to your needs, offering flexible hours and assistance with homework. A typical lesson includes casual conversation practice, vocabulary building, and grammar tips, all in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. What sets me apart is my patient, clear approach and ability to explain complex concepts simply. Whether you're a student, traveler, or language enthusiast, my personalized lessons will help you progress effectively and enjoyably.
