About Shaina

I am a Criminology graduate with a genuine passion for teaching that began during my high school years. I currently tutor five elementary students and four high school students, including learners from a Science High School, helping them build confidence and achieve academic success.

My dedication to communication and education has also been recognized nationally. I was awarded 5th Place in the National Impromptu Speaking Competition (2020) and 3rd Place in the National Poetry Writing Contest.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor

I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching approach to match each learner's pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to develop their confidence, critical thinking, and love for learning.

A Typical Lesson
Each session begins with a brief review of previous lessons to strengthen retention. We then discuss new topics using clear explanations and practical examples. Throughout the lesson, I encourage active participation by asking questions and allowing students to solve problems independently with guidance. Every session ends with a summary, practice activities, and tips for independent study.

What Sets Me Apart
My passion for teaching began in high school and has continued ever since. I currently tutor elementary and high school students, including learners from a Science High School. My experience as a national award-winning impromptu speaker and poetry writer has strengthened my communication skills, allowing me to explain complex ideas in a simple, engaging, and easy-to-understand manner. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to do their best.
