About Esme
I’m a passionate guitarist with 12 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies. Music has always been more than just sound to me—it's a lifelong journey of creativity, expression, and connection. I regularly perform and compose, bringing real-world experience into every lesson I teach. I work with students of all levels, from those picking up a guitar for the first time to advanced musicians refining their craft. My goal is to make each student feel confident, inspired, and challenged. I believe that learning guitar should be personal, engaging, and enjoyable. Every lesson is tailored to suit the individual’s goals and musical taste. I place strong emphasis on technique, theory, and ear training, but also on creativity and self-expression. Whether you want to strum along to your favorite songs, write your own music, or master complex solos, I’m here to guide you. I help students unlock their potential and discover their unique voice through the instrument. Teaching guitar isn’t just about playing the right notes—it’s about building a lasting love for music. I create a space where students feel encouraged to grow and explore. Music is a skill for life, and I’m excited to help others experience its power.

My teaching approach to guitar is rooted in passion, structure, and creativity. I guide students from basic chords to advanced improvisation through a step-by-step method that builds confidence and skill. I focus on personalized instruction, adapting each lesson to the student’s goals—whether they want to play casually or perform professionally. Alongside technique, I include ear training to help students recognize notes, chords, and rhythms by ear.
I also integrate music theory so students understand the language behind the music they play. Performance coaching is a key part of my sessions, helping students feel confident on stage and express their musical identity. For modern learning, I use DAWs, amp simulators, metronome apps, and digital tools to make practice fun and interactive. Students learn to record, review, and improve their sound in real time.
I help learners become both expressive and disciplined guitarists. Whether you enjoy exploring smooth jazz textures or energetic, rebellious sounds, I support you in finding your voice. My approach is supportive and motivating, helping each student grow steadily. I encourage creativity, persistence, and musical joy at every level. Most importantly, I help students fall in love with the guitar.
