Learn or improve drawing and painting in artist’s studio with experienced expert tutor

I was throughly impressed with Ruth’s enthusiasm and dynamic teaching style.
Her quirky, art studio was a veritable treasure trove and I very much enjoyed my time there and growing under her direction.
Without hesitation, I recommend Ruth’s tutoring and consider myself quite fortunate to have been met by such a talented and encouraging teacher. One who introduced me to a variety of different things , both in terms of medium and artistic expression.

Ruth is a lovely and very talented artist and especially as a teacher I would say,she is the best. I have learnt so much from Ruth. She has built confidence in me for oil paintings. She is very generous ,amazing and friendly. I strongly recommend her.

Ruth has been my tutor since 2020 and I have been with her weekly since then.Due to Covid restrictions we were initially on Zoom, which worked very well and would be great for anyone living too far to come in person or who wanted to have lessons from home. Ruth used a multiple of different resources to teach on Zoom including demonstrations and working along with me, also slides and different images to enhance her teaching.
When restrictions allowed we met outside to sketch and paint and now I visit her studio where we have experimented in painting on rice paper in inks, printing and watercolour and I'm now painting in oils.
Ruth is patient, supportive and willing to adapt to a student's ability and style be it drawing, watercolour , acrylic or oil painting.
I have learned a great deal and intend to continue exploring art and experimenting with Ruth as my tutor.
