About Kilbone
I’ve always had a passion for people, creativity and helping others. I love art and music, but what I enjoy most is making a difference in someone else’s life, even in small ways.
I came to this country many years ago, so I understand what it can feel like to be new, different, or to have an accent that makes you stand out. Fortunately, I came from an English-speaking country, so my own transition was much easier. However, I saw how challenging it could be for people who arrived without speaking English, especially when they were trying to communicate, make friends, study or simply feel like they belonged.
Interestingly, even when I was in high school, I seemed to naturally become the person teachers chose whenever a new student arrived who spoke little or no English. I would help them find their way around school, understand what was happening and feel more comfortable. I never really understood why I was always chosen, but looking back, I realise that it was probably because I genuinely enjoyed helping people.
That experience stayed with me and helped develop my passion for teaching. I want to create a comfortable, patient and judgement-free space where people can learn English without feeling embarrassed about making mistakes.
Whether you are starting from zero English or simply want to become more confident and improve your speaking, I want to help you feel comfortable using English in everyday life.
Learning a language can open doors — and I would love to help you open yours. ️
