About Sonia Nandal
Hello! I am an M.A. Music student and a UGC NET Music aspirant with a deep passion for Indian Classical Vocal Music. During my own learning journey, I realized that many beginners struggle because the basic concepts are not explained in enough detail. That inspired me to teach music from the very foundation. I share not only what I have studied academically but also the practical understanding and learning methods I have discovered through my own practice and experience. My classes focus on Swar, Sargam, Alankar, Taal, basic Ragas, Riyaz, and Music Theory in a simple, step-by-step manner. I believe that when the basics are clear, learning music becomes easier, more enjoyable, and more confident for every student. My goal is to help beginners build a strong foundation and develop a genuine love for Indian Classical Music.

Welcome! If you want to learn Indian Classical Vocal Music from the very beginning, these classes are for you. I teach beginners in a simple, patient and step-by-step way. The classes include both theory and practical learning so that students understand the concepts as well as improve their singing skills.
You will learn Swar, Sargam, Alankar, Basic Ragas, Riyaz techniques, Taal, Music Theory and vocal exercises. Every lesson is planned according to the student’s level and learning speed. I believe that a strong foundation is the key to becoming a good musician.
Whether you are a complete beginner, a school student or someone who wants to start learning Indian Classical Music, you are welcome. My aim is to make learning enjoyable, easy to understand and confidence-building.
