About Charnteá
Many people find that their playing plateaus because they ignore the basics of rhythm. Strangely, the most advanced players often benefit the most from revisiting how they hold the pick. My 13 years of experience have shown that a diagnostic skills check is the best way to start every single lesson. I will build a plan specifically for your needs after we identify where your technique might be feeling stiff.
We will look at reading tabs and internalizing patterns until they feel like second nature. It feels better to play something simple with great timing than to struggle through a fast solo. I keep the environment casual so you can explore songwriting without any pressure. Just bring your instrument and a sense of curiosity to our first session.

SCALES AND MODES are my main tools for helping you find your way around the fretboard. Teaching 331 students has given me a deep perspective on how music theory connects to the ears.
I earned my BM Guitar at Concordia University to formalize my understanding of the craft. Most of my work involves hobbyists who want to play rhythm guitar or advanced learners looking to sharpen their solos. My personal narrative is rooted in the chanson tradition, which influences how I teach chord voicing and strumming patterns.
I focus on making the instrument feel like an extension of your own voice. Sometimes, the guitar is just a wooden box until you put your own story into the strings.
