About Beixi
Five years ago, I came to the UK for uni and realised textbook English didn’t match real-life. I struggled to express myself naturally, and that’s when I understood: language learning is more than grammar and vocabulary — it’s about real communication. I learnt English slang from local friends and shared Chinese culture with them. Teaching a friend Mandarin before his China trip was amazing, seeing him converse confidently in six months showed me how powerful learning through interest can be. I love starting lessons from topics you enjoy, building vocabulary, correcting pronunciation, and helping you speak naturally. Interest is the best teacher, and that’s the energy I bring to every lesson.

I believe language learning should be personal, practical, and fun. Instead of memorising textbook phrases, we’ll start your Chinese journey with words and expressions you can use right away. Each lesson is fully personalised, I design a flexible system and a topic library built around your daily life, experiences, and goals. Together, we’ll create learning materials that truly matter to you, so you can speak naturally and confidently in real situations. My aim is: make Chinese learning enjoyable, meaningful, and something you genuinely look forward to.
