I met Filisia in Athens through a common friend and when I decided to do Skype lessons in December 2020, I quite naturally turned to her and feel very lucky that she could take me on as a student. She is such a warm, lively, intelligent person and a very passionate teacher. She wants her students to progress continuously on their discovery of the beautiful, but difficult Greek language and she does not spare any effort to help us along. She quickly realised where my difficulties lay and provided me with homework that she had come up with especially for me and I can honestly say that I made a lot of progress in the eight months she has been teaching me. I have been learning Greek for quite a few years now and Filisia is very good at not only recognising which aspects of the language she needs to put emphasis on, but also to teach me every day colloquial Greek so that I can understand when people speak to me. These expressions are not found in textbooks!

I met Filisia about three and half years ago when I was looking for a tutor to help me learn Greek. I was initially skeptical about having lessons over Skype, but Filisia's approach, teaching style, knowledge and character won me over.
