About Nicola
Hi! My name is Nicola, and I'm a native English speaker from Vancouver, Canada. I love meeting people from different cultures and helping others feel more confident communicating in English.
I have several years of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults through mentoring and support roles, where communication, patience, and building confidence were at the heart of everything I did. These experiences taught me how to adapt to different learning styles and create a supportive, encouraging environment.
I've also spent the past year travelling throughout Europe, which has given me a real appreciation for the challenges and rewards of learning another language and communicating across cultures.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy painting, writing, hiking, swimming, snowboarding, travelling, and spending time with animals. I love getting to know my students and creating lessons that are relaxed, engaging, and tailored to their goals.
Whether you're learning English for travel, work, school, or everyday conversation, I'd be delighted to help you build your confidence and enjoy the learning process.

My lessons are friendly, relaxed, and tailored to each student's goals. Whether you want to improve your conversational English, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, or confidence, I'll adapt each lesson to your needs and learning style.
As a native Canadian English speaker, I focus on helping students sound natural and feel comfortable using English in real-life situations. My aim is to create a supportive environment where making mistakes is part of learning and students feel encouraged to ask questions and practise speaking.
I enjoy getting to know my students and incorporating their interests into our lessons, whether that's travel, work, hobbies, or everyday conversations. My goal is for every lesson to be engaging, practical, and enjoyable while helping you build lasting confidence in your English.
