About Lena
With over 9 years of experience teaching piano both in-person and online, I bring a deep passion for music and a commitment to every student’s growth. I hold a **Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance**, which has shaped my approach to combining artistry with technical mastery. My teaching philosophy centers on active participation, musical intent, and developing well-rounded musicianship. Each lesson is designed to build confidence, creativity, and musical understanding. I guide students through technique, theory, and interpretation, ensuring a balance between structure and freedom of expression. Whether exploring classical works or contemporary pieces, I help students connect emotionally with the music they play. I take pride in adapting to individual learning styles, creating personalized lessons that nurture progress at every stage. My teaching integrates history, theory, and performance practice, so students gain a deeper appreciation of the instrument and the art form. Over the years, I have successfully guided learners from beginner and intermediate stages to advanced and professional levels. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong musical foundation through structure, creativity, and steady progress. I guide students through chord progressions, scales, and rhythmic training to strengthen technique and confidence. Repertoire selection is personalized so that every student feels connected to the music they play.
I believe learning the piano should be enjoyable and purposeful, no matter your level or musical background. My sessions are interactive, where students receive real-time feedback to refine their skills and overcome challenges immediately. I encourage consistent, mindful practice that transforms small steps into lasting progress.
Many of my students come with a love for popular and contemporary styles, and I help them channel that enthusiasm into structured growth. We explore harmony, rhythm, and creativity in ways that make familiar songs sound fresh and exciting. My lessons also emphasize musical expression, so students don’t just play notes—they communicate emotion and style.
