About Dragana
My name is Dragana, I graduated in Serbian literature and language, and I have six years of teaching experience in elementary and high schools. Alongside teaching in schools, over the past few years I have also dedicated myself to teaching Serbian as a foreign language to international students.
I am deeply dedicated to and passionate about teaching. For me, every lesson is a creative, inspiring, and meaningful encounter with students — an opportunity to do what truly fulfills me and what I genuinely love. It is very important to me to create a warm and supportive atmosphere during lessons and to share my enthusiasm for learning with my students, so they can experience the learning process as something creative and inspiring rather than stressful or mechanical.
Besides teaching, I am also interested in psychotherapy and personal development, as well as traveling and reading. My favorite writers are Viktor Pelevin, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Michel Foucault. I also spent one year living in Saint Petersburg, which was an enriching experience for me. I use every opportunity and every bit of free time to travel somewhere new. At the moment, I live and work in Belgrade.

You can expect fully personalized lessons adapted to your level, goals, interests, and learning style. Together, we create a learning approach that feels natural, effective, and motivating. I prepare materials individually for each student, combining grammar, conversation, vocabulary, reading, listening, and practical everyday language use. Lessons are structured but flexible, and the pace is always adjusted to your progress and needs.
From the very beginning, we focus not only on grammar and rules, but also on developing confidence and real communication skills. I especially enjoy working with beginners because building strong foundations and developing an understanding of the logic and structure of the language from the very start is essential. The goal is to help you understand the logic of the Serbian language and feel comfortable using it in everyday situations. During our first lesson, we determine your current level, discuss your goals and interests, and create a plan that works best for you.
In class, we work on removing the fear of making mistakes, because mistakes are a natural and necessary part of the learning and growth process. Language itself carries many hidden insights about the sensibility, mentality, and culture of a people, so grammar and language structures are always connected with everyday life, real situations, and practical communication.
