• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  As a kid, I was very much fascinated about the best selling toy of the world "The Rubik's cube". My friend was solving it in under 1 minute and I was like "wow! I wish I could solve like him" and I started learning by myself. Within a month, I managed to beat him and I was amazed at how easy cubing was! And I wanted to do a world record like many people did before!

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  I used to learn from Youtube and follow many professional cube guides which had many limitations and we usually got stuck sometime which led to loss of interest. So,I thought of hosting live online classes and conveying the students in their desired way. In this way, they could learn fast and get their mistakes corrected instantaneously. Also, to pass on the knowledge and to prepare many cubing aspirants.

• How does your work help society?

  Teaching cubing through online helps students learn a new hobby "cubing" which is considered to be unique. It is fun and also improves brain cognition among students and kids. This can help them improve their problem solving ability in the future and this stimulates the cerebral cortex which in turn keeps the brain active. This can help reduce anxiety and stress and establish competitive learning in them.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  I would call "Feliks Zemdegs" my inspiration because he is a legend and I learned the professional method as I was inspired by him. I have wanted to be like him since I was a kid and a beginner. YouTubers like "J Perm", "Mats Valk" and "Max Park" whose stories and teaching methods left me in a great awe inspired me to teach Rubik's cube as well!

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Speedcubing is my favourite hobby. Other than that, I am a very good artist and I draw lifelike portraits. I am creative as well which led to my other hobbies such as Graphic design, Video editing, Video creation etc. I am a level 2 in skating (Hyper wheel) and I do engineering projects using electronics and other stuff as I am an engineering graduate. Music and dancing keeps my mind fresh and I am an ardent PC Gamer! I would play games for 6 hours straight and I am good at content writing which made me write blogs and content for my college magazine.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  I am good at interacting with people that made me delegate a leadership programme when I was a fresher in Engineering. People loved my sessions on life, cubing and art out there. There were 60 students who attended the camp and they were told to tie a ribbon on the hands of the favourite and inspirational delegate. I was just 17 at that time and other delegates were older and more professional than me. But to my surprise, I got around 45+ ribbons tied to my hand at the end which made my heart melt! I believe that I am good at winning people's hearts and that's what makes me grasp the pulse of each and every student I coach!
