About Ava

Hello! My name is Ava, and I am passionate about helping people achieve success in learning English. I am currently in university, close to completing my teaching degree, and I also hold a TEFL certificate. I have many years of experience teaching one-to-one, and I am proud of creating lessons that are both effective and enjoyable. My goal as a teacher is to make English learning clear, supportive, and confidence-building. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and understood. That’s why I always approach teaching with patience, positivity, and a genuine interest in each student’s progress. A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, although I adapt the time and pace to meet each learner’s needs. Lessons are carefully structured, with a balance of conversation practice, grammar guidance, vocabulary building, and real-life applications. I also make sure every lesson is engaging and tailored to your goals — whether you want to improve everyday communication, prepare for exams, or gain confidence for work or study. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to advanced learners. No matter your starting point, I am here to help you grow step by step. I chose to become a teacher because I believe education changes lives. For me, teaching English is not just about grammar or vocabulary — it’s about giving students the skills and confidence they need to connect with others and create new opportunities. About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching I believe learning English should be an enjoyable, practical, and confidence-building experience. My teaching style is supportive, interactive, and student-centred — I tailor each lesson to meet the learner’s needs, goals, and preferred learning style. I use a variety of techniques, including role play, conversation practice, vocabulary building, grammar guidance, and real-life scenarios to help learners communicate effectively in English. A typical lesson lasts about 60 minutes, though I can adapt lesson length to suit the student’s schedule, pace, and concentration level. Each session is structured but flexible: we begin with a warm-up activity, then focus on key learning objectives, and finish with practical exercises or a review to consolidate understanding. I hold a TEFL certificate and have nearly completed my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Over the years, I have gained extensive experience working one-to-one with learners of different ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. My supportive and friendly approach ensures that students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
