Not only is my English in Afrikaans pure it is also the slang that I teach my students so out in the world they can understand what people are saying whether it be a threat or compliment. The public education system does not teach us everything about language language evolves as time goes on and it is not limited to only students it goes out into the world to people who never went to school before so they have their different kind of slangs and new usage of language even gets made up every day
